Second back injection.......FAILED

So the second injection was about as effective as the first. NOT AT ALL. We were very disappointed.

I went to a Christmas party for Syd on Monday night and was informed that the dr. that we have chosen for pain management doesn't have that great of a reputation. Very disappointing since I asked around first. So now the question is, do we try to get into the doctor with a GREAT reputation in Amarillo? Just wait it out until January 11th when Brokeback has his appt with the neurosurgeon? It isn't easy to get in anywhere during the holidays.

Pray that the Lord works a Christmas miracle on his back.

Second back injection

If you are reading this right now, say a little prayer for Brokeback! He is getting another "more intrusive" back shot this morning. Pray that it isn't too painful and that it actually WORKS this time. Life with chronic back pain can be pretty miserable for everyone.

Visit to see Santa Claus

We went to visit Santa Claus at the mall today! We weren't in our Santa picture gear but they were both in such perky moods and there was no lines so we decided to go for it.
Syd was just thrilled to see Santa. Started waving from the stoller before she could get out. Ran up to him and hopped in his lap. She was so excited that H wasn't scared at all, either.
I sassed the pic up a bit when I got home with the CD. Syd asked Santa for a puzzle. Ever since we brought her a train puzzle that blows it's whistle when it is complete it is the only thing she ever asks for. So that is all we got her. (please)
We also did some shopping at K Bee Toys. They are closing so their toys are 30-50% off. I would like to warn you that it isn't as great as it sounds. I bought H a toy at Toys R Us last week for $15. The same toy at K Bee has been marked on up to $25. Even with the 30% it wasn't as low at Toys R Us' original price.

Christmas Cookies

We had a ton of fun making cookies today. Syd wore her chef hat and apron as usual. She loved eating the icing and using the sprinkles. They turned out really well and she has had two already. H hasn't tasted one yet due to the food allergies. But he watched us for awhile.

Syd's favorite part of cooking is all of the messy stirring.

Taking the sprinkling seriously.

Can't wait for them to come out of the oven! They were in there for all of 8 minutes.

Proud of the finished product.

Enjoying her hard work.
